The Issues of Higher Education for Oregon State University

Oregon State University is the state’s leading public research university, the state’s Land Grant university, and one of only two universities in the U.S. to have Sea Grant, Space Grant and Sun Grant designations. Oregon State University is also the only university in Oregon to hold both the Carnegie Foundation’s top designation for research institutions and its prestigious Community Engagement classification.

But this tells us where OSU has been, not where it’s going.  The Beaver Caucus is a group dedicated to lifting our beloved university to even greater heights.  To do that, Oregon needs to invest in its institutions of higher education.  It’s up to OSU alumni and friends to hold them accountable to this goal.
