Message From OSU Interim President Becky Johnson

Beaver Caucus Advocates—

Thank you for your support. With your help, the legislature increased funding for student financial aid and Oregon State University programs serving student success, research, OSU Extension and outreach programs statewide, and bonding for key building projects at OSU’s Corvallis and Bend campuses.

This support will greatly contribute to student success and graduation, while also advancing the valued statewide work of the OSU Extension Service and OSU research innovation and discovery that serves Oregonians, communities and our state’s economy.

Becky Johnson, OSU Interim President

2021 Legislative Session Update

  • Targeted capital investments, including:
    • Student Success Center at OSU-Cascades
    • Renovation of Cordley Hall

From numerous Zoom meetings with legislators to a furious letter-writing campaign to individual phone calls to legislators throughout the state, the Beaver Caucus used their advocacy expertise and wide breadth of support to encourage the legislature to prioritize these important projects. And the advocacy worked!
