Hello Beaver Caucus Member,

The Legislature convened on December 13 for a one-day special session to consider a limited agenda of urgent proposals. Among the items passed was full funding for the state climatologist, a position housed at Oregon State. This was going to be a priority for The Beaver Caucus during the 2022 session, and we accomplished it early because you helped make it a priority for legislators. OSU plays a critical role in building strategies to make our region resilient in the face of a host of climate-related challenges. Thanks to your efforts, OSU’s ability to do that work has been enhanced.

Join us in thanking Oregon legislators for their support of OSU by sharing the message below on social media and tagging The Beaver Caucus!

Thank you Oregon legislators, for supporting Oregon State University’s climate resiliency work during this month’s special session. #GoBeavs #BeavsAdvocates

Support the Statewide Public Service Programs

Our priority for the next legislative session in February is to secure full funding for the OSU statewide public service programs, including Extension. These programs provide essential services across the state, working with an extensive network of community partners. Read more about this incredible program.

Thanks for your advocacy efforts, and Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

Bill Perry
President
