Oregon State University is requesting $48M bond funding for a new STEM Learning Center on the Corvallis campus. This investment will be matched with $28M of university funding.
OSU is planning to renovate a historic and currently unused heat plant and its adjoining indoor and outdoor spaces to expand OSU’s physics research and STEM educational experiences through:
● Innovative science learning spaces for all OSU students
● Physics research labs for projects with regional, national, and international impact
● Engaging science learning exhibits aimed toward K-12 and other campus visitors
This critical investment will elevate OSU’s STEM programs and establish a new home for the Physics Department. The state-of-the-art teaching facilities in the STEM Learning Center will enhance the experience of nearly every student on campus and support workforce development for fields including engineering, research and education.
