Edward J. Ray Hall grand opening
OSU-Cascades’ newest academic building officially opened on September 1. Ed Ray Hall, named for OSU’s former President, is the new home to the STEAM disciplines of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. This 50,000 sq. ft., four-story, geothermal powered building is a reality because advocates like you made it a priority for state leaders, securing $39M in bond funding for its construction during the 2018 legislative session. Your advocacy is having a transformative impact on OSU-Cascades as it continues to grow to meet the expanding needs of Central Oregon.
Welcome to the Beaver Caucus: Tony Lapiz, ’ 17
The Beaver Caucus Board of Directors welcomed new member Tony Lapiz to the Board in June 2021. Tony was a first-generation college student, an OSU College of Public Health & Human Sciences alumnus and currently serves as Governor Brown’s Public Health Advisor. He is an elected member of the Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education and served in the Army National Guard.
“I’m very excited to be part of the Beaver Caucus,” Lapiz shared. “Higher education was a life-changing opportunity for me, and I’m excited to connect with other OSU alums and learn how Oregon State has impacted their lives.”
Help us welcome back students
Remember when you needed a little extra encouragement to succeed at OSU and beyond? Steven Fenaroli, ’14, does — that’s why the grad sent a BEaver KIND message to help students this fall.
“Oregon State is something permanent in your life. Your degree is your ticket to the best alumni network around. Beaver Nation spans far and wide. Keep working hard and persist through the tough times. It will be worth it in the end.”
Join us in sending a message of inspiration to students coming back to campus. Two minutes can make a memorable impact on the life of a current OSU student.
