OSU College of Forestry sports a “nearly 100% job placement rate”

April 8, 2015 by The Beaver Caucus

CORVALLIS, Ore. — The College of Forestry at Oregon State University uses tools that are a bit more advanced.

We got an inside look at the Forest Engineering and Management Programs and found out more about how high the demand is for laborers in the field.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last year that nationally there was close to 3,000 people employed by the logging industry.

More than half of those jobs were right here in Oregon, which makes job prospects for students in the College of Forestry pretty good.

According to the school, the program has a nearly 100 percent job placement rate.
