Last month, members of the Beaver Caucus and the Legislative Craft Beer Caucus gathered at OSU’s state of art Food Innovation Center in Portland for the Beaver Caucus Beer Mixer. The event was an opportunity to mingle with alums and legislators and learn about the important role OSU’s Fermentation Science Program plays in the craft brew industry.

We were honored to have Legislative Craft Brew Caucus Co-Chairs, Sen. Floyd Prozanski and Rep. Mark Johnson join us for the event as well as Sen. Michael Dembrow and Reps. Jeff Reardon and Ann Lininger. Jeff Edgerton, Brewmaster at BridgePort Brewing Company and an OSU alum, discussed OSU’s Fermentation Science Program stating that the program has rapidly become one of the – if not the – most respected programs for fermentation in the country.
